Warranty
Warranty Coverage Period
LumiEar hearing aids are covered by a One (1) Year Limited Warranty that begins on the date of delivery to the customer, as confirmed by carrier tracking.
This Limited Warranty applies solely to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.
The warranty does not reset, pause, or extend due to periods of non-use, storage, or delayed activation of the device.
Limited Manufacturer Warranty Coverage
LumiEar provides a Limited Manufacturer Warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use.
A covered defect refers to a failure that:
-
Is caused by an internal manufacturing issue, and
-
Occurs despite proper use, handling, charging, and storage
If a covered defect is confirmed, LumiEar may, at its discretion:
-
Repair the affected component, or
-
Replace the affected unit with the same or an equivalent model
Warranty Exclusions
The Limited Warranty does not cover damage, performance issues, or failures resulting from normal wear, aging, handling conditions, or external factors.
Rechargeable Batteries
Rechargeable batteries are consumable components and are subject to natural chemical aging.
The Limited Warranty does not cover:
-
Normal or gradual battery capacity loss over time
-
Reduced battery performance due to prolonged storage
-
Battery degradation caused by extended periods of non-use
-
Inability to hold a charge after storage in a fully discharged state
Battery performance may vary based on usage patterns, charging habits, and storage conditions. This is considered normal wear and not a manufacturing defect.
Receiver Wires and Cables
The Limited Warranty does not cover:
-
Broken, severed, stretched, or detached receiver wires
-
Damage caused by pulling, tension, snagging, or improper removal
-
Wear resulting from repeated bending or stress
Receiver cables are physical components and are not covered when damage results from handling or mechanical force.
Accessories
The Limited Warranty does not cover accessories, including but not limited to:
-
Ear domes and tips
-
Wax guards
-
Charging cases and charging cables
-
Replacement parts or consumables
Accessories are excluded from warranty coverage.
Physical Damage and Handling Conditions
The Limited Warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
-
Drops, impacts, or crushing
-
Cracked or damaged housings
-
Bent or distorted components
-
Water exposure, moisture intrusion, or humidity damage
Corrosion and Environmental Exposure
The Limited Warranty does not cover:
-
Corrosion caused by sweat, moisture, or environmental exposure
-
Damage resulting from improper cleaning or drying
-
Damage caused by storage in unsuitable conditions
Misuse or Improper Care
The Limited Warranty does not apply to issues resulting from:

-
Use outside of intended conditions
-
Continued use after visible damage occurs
Lost or Missing Items
The Limited Warranty does not cover:
-
Lost or stolen hearing aids
-
Units returned with missing components
Battery Performance Clarification
Rechargeable batteries naturally degrade over time, including during periods of non-use. Prolonged storage while fully discharged may permanently reduce battery capacity and may prevent the device from operating or pairing properly.
This type of degradation is considered normal and is not covered under the Limited Warranty.
Industry Standard Comparison
Consistent with other rechargeable electronic and medical devices, warranty coverage applies to functional failures caused by manufacturing defects, but does not extend to:
-
Normal wear or aging
-
Gradual performance changes
-
Misuse, accidents, or handling-related damage
Warranty Claim Evaluation
All warranty claims are evaluated individually and may require:
-
Photos or video of the product condition
-
A description of usage, charging, and storage history
-
Inspection upon return, if requested
If a product issue is determined to fall outside warranty coverage, repair or replacement options may be offered at the customer’s expense when available.
Returns and Warranty Coverage
Returns and warranty claims are governed by separate policies.
-
Returns are subject to the terms of the LumiEar Return & Refund Policy
-
Warranty coverage applies only to confirmed manufacturing defects
Acknowledgment of Warranty Terms
By purchasing and using LumiEar products, customers acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Limited Warranty.
This policy is intended to provide clear, consistent standards for warranty evaluation and to ensure fair treatment for all customers.
